MODALITIES: Paddle and Warboat

It is arrived the hour of the descent. Dressing safety's equipments, lifejackets and helmets, the group receives the basic instructions for RAFTING. In the beginning, the river seems calm, but the course hides, in their almost 20 km, a lot of action and emotion. They are 17 excellent rapids.
The walk is not a simple river descent, to WORLD RIVER RAFTING it takes advantage each one of their waves, surfing with the boats, descends the rapids swim her, jumping of the high of the old bridge, finally, liberating adrenaline until the last drop.
After the descent, the group returns to the hotel to restore the energies, with a bath and a delicious one and it satiates meal of the typical food inhabitant of Minas Gerais. In Brazil, the history of Rafting is much more recent. The first boats for rapids arrived in 1982, when it was set up the first Brazilian company, TY-Y Expedições, that in I begin operated in the  South Paraíba river and Paraibuna river , both in Three Rivers (RJ). Some years later, in the end of 1993, Arpia, Aventur and World River Rafting appeared & Expeditions, today one of the largest companies of Rafting of Brazil. Starting from 1993 new companies appeared and today they exist more than 20 dispersed for Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Mato Grosso.

The chosen river could not stop being Paraibuna. It counts on professionals with more than 15 years of experience in practice of RAFTING, being the pioneers in the rapids of the Paraibuna river.
The walk begins with a coffee of the guile reinforced at the Hotel Fazenda, located the only 2 hours of Rio de Janeiro and 4 hours of Belo Horizonte. After the coffee of the guile, the group is driven for the embarkment.

Class I
Very easy rapids.
Class II.
Easy rapids, however with light undulations.
Class III
Rapids with waves and more irregular ebbs demanding some experience in the maneuvers.
Class IV  
Very turbulent rapids - it requests a lot of ability, planning and can need rescue.
Class V
Extremely difficult rapids.
Class VI
Extreme conditions with situation of permanent risk. It is not practiced commercially.

Speed measured of the boats - Normal Level - 5 to 6 KM.
                                           - Low level - 4 to 5 KM.
                                           - Full level - 8 to 10 KM.
Descent time: 3 at 4 hours, depending on the level of the river.

Number of rapids: 13 to 25.                                                
Degree of technical difficulty: 3 and 4 (it limits of 06 degrees).
